Why does my dog lick my hands and face so much? He

My dog does the same thing...it's their way of showing you affection. I used to get annoyed too and couldn't stop it but now I let her lick me as much as she wants...she's 18 yrs old now and I've noticed that she's much happier after Iicking me than if I didn't let her so just appreciate it and let him lick
